Project M
Established in Jan 2011, Project M, also known as Project Money is founded by 2 Forex Trading buddies, Mr Low and Mr Loh who strongly believes algorithm trading system is the future of financial market trading.
As a graduate from Bsc (Hons) Mathematics, University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2003, Mr Low has expertise in calculus, differential equations, probability and statistics, holding the responsibility for designing formulas.
Meanwhile, Mr Loh was graduated from Bsc (Hons) Computer Science, Coventry University UK in 2002. As a professional software engineer, Mr Loh specialises in automation industry both in hardware & software, and currently is responsible for coding, optimisation and execution of Project M.

- Start of Project M (aka Project Money). Initial idea and base coding commenced derived from 10years of historical forex tick data from 2000-2010.
- Developed alpha version of algo trading expert advisors code name: M1, M2, M2, M3, M4, M5.
- debugging, back testing, and optimising the algorithm formula parameters (gaps settings, grid settings and TP/SL levels). Only M2 able to passed all simulation tests.
- Live forward testing on real market conditions and continue to debug.
- Development of unique trend filter that can detect market strong trend on major currency.
- Complete of final M2 version, live forward test 6months for final bugs correction before public release. M2 system is launched as an expert advisor in Jan 2013 (M2 ver 1.0).
- Deploy to live trading environment under Instaforex Forex-Copy system.
- Development of own Copy Trade server system (ver 1.0) to enable Expert Advisor to operate on multi brokerage firm.
- Total funds trading on the M2 system crosses USD 1M, execution is smooth and live trading result matched our lab emulation result successfully.
- Total funds trading on the M2 system crosses USD 5M, brokers has execution problem with M2 algorithm. Same problem persist in Instaforex, ILQ and FXPrimus. Several adjustment to the formula is made to overcome the problem.
- Total funds trading on M2 approaches USD 10M, efficiency of the M2 auto trade fell further. Broker is unable to handle the orders placed by M2 algorithm. M2 ver 1.00 is stopped, brokers ask us to stop using the system with large funds trading.
- Optimisation of the M2 formula to trade on institutional funds (larger than USD10M). To solve M2 execution problem with retail brokerage firm. New M2 algorithm is developed and being live forward tested.
- Development of new copy trade system for the M2 ver 2.0. New copy trade system is able to do cross broker order execution in within 300ms (averagely 10 times faster than the old copy system). M2 now able to support any retail MT4 brokers or bank proprietary platform via API copy mode
- M2 ver2.0 formula is finalised, new final version is coded. Limitations encountered by M2 ver1.0 is solved.
- M2 ver2.0 is live forward tested and the parameters are optimised, Owners start to run live forward test with multiple live account size $1,000, $10,000 and $50,000.
- M2 ver 2.0 is ready for live trading use on large funds size and supports all kinds of retail forex brokerage. M2 ver 2.0 scheduled for public release on MFM Broker & Lirunex Broker.
